An internet independent voice controller for Home automation

  • Developed a Python script to detect and process the voice commands and send an HTTP request to the relevant device over a local network.
  • Integrated home appliances such as light, fan, smart socket to be controlled using voice commands.

Audience voting and interaction system for IoT India Congress 2018 Workshop

  • Built 20 devices, connected to a MQTT Server running on a raspberry pi.
  • Developed Node-Red Dashboard to control the lights on individual devices.
  • The audience could vote using the button on the device and the cumulative result will be shown on the dashboard.
  • Implemented a few interactive features to keep the audinece engaged during the session.

Music system emulator to demonstrate realtime data flow using MQTT

  • Built an electronic drum kit and an electronic Piano using the pressure sensitive material.
  • Deployed a MQTT server on a Raspberry pi board.
  • Wrote a firmware code to send data to the PC over a local netowrk.
  • Wrote a python script to receive the MQTT packets and emulate the corresponding keys on a virtual drum and Piano application running on windows.

IoT based energy monitoring system

  • Built a smart socket that will forecast the energy consumption of the device connected to it in realtime over MQTT.
  • Built a Node Red Dashboard to show the realtime plot for the energy consumption.
  • Provisioned a control button on the Dashboard to control the Smart socket.
  • Deployed an add-on to log the historical data into an excel file locally.

Long range smart parking slot monitoring sensor node

  • Built a parking sensor node to detect the slot occupancy and send the state to a cloud server in realtime using LoRaWAN.
  • Interfaced a geomagnetic sensor to detect the interference caused due metallic object nearby.
  • Implemented A smart optimization algorithm to caliberate the sensor in realtime and detect the state change effectively.

Smart Asset tracking over LoRaWAN

  • Built a smart GPS tracker to track the location of vehicle in realtime.
  • Wrote firmware to send GPS coordinates over LoRaWAN to a Gateway deployed in the office. The vehicle could be tracked up to 16Km from the gateway location.
  • Configured TTN cloud server to get the location data.
  • Used Node-RED API of TTN cloud to get the location data on a Node-RED server running on a Windows PC. The coordinates were mapped to a Map add-on in the Node-RED dashboard.

Optimal Load Dispatch in Power Plants using Heuristic Algorithms

  • Developed a Matlab model for the Ant Lion Optimizer to solve the Optimal Load Dispatch problem.

  • Built a system to allow a person to input a password using a keypad.
  • Built a intelligent dispenser to open a relevant slot of the key when a correct password is entered.

Bicycle Operated gadget charger

  • Built a 3A/5V charger using buck converter ICs from Texas Instruments.
  • Developed a system to take input from a Dynamo connected to the wheel of a bicycle. While the person is riding the bicycle, the battery will get charged.
  • Integrated a LCD screen to show the charging output and load on the charger.

Driver for EEG controlled electric Wheel chair

Designed a Mosfet-based driver for the electric wheelchair. The input to the driver was fed from a controller which took the signal from an EEG kit.

Built a smart controller for Electronic fuel Injection to increase fuel efficiency in Honda CIVIC Engine. The controller changed the fuel injection frequency as per the RPM

  • Swadeshi Processor Challenge (Quarter Finals) - Designed a IoT based smart rat trap to curb the rat infestation in the warehouses and reduce the related deseases. We were in the Top 100 participants out of 2000+ participants.
